PTSD is mental health condition that can occur after experiencing or witnessing traumatic events. 
For Vietnam veterans, the recognition of PTSD as distinct diagnosis came in 1980, shortly after the Vietnam War ended. 
Many veterans have reported symptoms such as flashbacks, anxiety, and depression, which can severely impact their daily lives.
